A proper introduction is necessary first.
I’m Renato! I’m super passionate about financial markets. I trade, write for Benzinga, and my publications have been featured on Yahoo Finance, Markets Insider, MarketWatch, Entrepreneur, and more!
My financial markets journey started in high school. It was 2017 and cryptocurrencies were all the rage. Back then, I was one of those super enthusiastic kids fascinated by the notion one could make a living in the markets.
If you’re wondering, I bought bitcoin at the top.
Despite losing my shirt on that investment, I was hooked.
Fast forward a couple of years, I pursued economics in college and spent much of my free time, outside of school and work, studying how markets worked. Everything from options volatility and pricing, the implications of credit and positioning, to market profile and order flow analytics. If you knew me personally, I never spoke about this. The reason being, I had no one person to relate with on the topics I was learning.
After graduating college, my dream was to take a shot at studying markets full-time with the hope of eventually being able to trade profitably, for a living.
I had two major problems: capital and a lack of direction.
If you’ve ever tried to learn on your own, the first thing that will stand out is information overload. Simply put, there are too many ways to make (and lose) money in the markets.
So, I started searching for a cool job.
I likely applied to 150+ financial institutions and emailed countless executives.
One of the executives that responded was Jason Raznick, the CEO at Benzinga, the largest news and data provider to North American brokerages and news outlets.
I quickly developed a vision for how I could leverage my presence there to move closer to my ultimate goal: trade profitably for a living.
I developed a list of traders I knew were successful and solicited interviews. Most responded and agreed.
Through these interviews, I learned where I needed to look and the things I needed to work on to improve my chances of achieving my ultimate goal.
Fast forward, I secured the capital necessary to begin trading full-time. I transitioned to a part-time writing role at Benzinga which allowed me to continue building my network and weather the days when trading wasn’t going so well.
Moreover, I later founded Physik Invest to detail my methods, research, and performance in the markets. The ultimate dream, for me, would be to manage assets that are not my own. However, that is not going to happen any time soon. That said, what better way to showcase my abilities than through a make-shift portfolio that engages my network through regularly posted insights they too can act on.
And so that brings us to the present.
I’d like to introduce to you Physik Invest’s Market Intelligence newsletter. By subscribing to this newsletter you will get a glimpse into the following:
The implications of credit and positioning.
Impactful events in finance and technology.
Technical commentary for index products.
Media on emerging trends and hot topics.
I look at it this way. If you subscribe, you have nothing to lose. You either get value out of the newsletter or you don’t. In the case of the latter, it’s easy to unsubscribe.
Why should you subscribe? There are too many newsletters that cover finance and technology but few, that are free, provide you actionable insights.
If you subscribe, you’ll get an objective “no fluff” view into the who, what, when, where, why, and how in finance and technology.
Hope that wasn’t too long but I felt that depth was needed. Should you want to connect with me, contact me at my cell phone, (586) 894-3874, or email, firstname.lastname@example.org.
